Thinking Derek Engelland is one of the UFA's Vegas has signed, thus fulfilling #Flames commitment. Engelland lives in Vegas & would be a fit

Sounds like Deryk Engelland is the Calgary Flames player going to Vegas. He's a UFA ON July 1

Expected but a tough loss, Really loved how Engelland played in his time here. He earned every single penny of his contract.

according to Foley, Vegas has not signed any UFAs so they took him without a contract

Yeah, thats a shame because I'm a huge fan of his, but the writing was kind of the wall and, in fairness, its a great move for a guy like him at his age and segment of his career.
Serviceable defenceman who can step up and be a leader, I wouldnt be surprised if he wears a letter for them.

Better than losing Kulak, Shinkaruk or even Chiasson. Would have preferred Brouwer but now we get to enjoy a bounce back season from the vet. All in all a much better situation than most teams.
