I feel like you just nailed the perfect slogan for Trump:
"Donald J. Trump: Either way, he's an idiot."

Makes sense. You don't get people to keep voting against their own self interests by educating them.

Why is Superfreakanomics on that list?
It supports evidence based decision making.

It's probably a crap meme, I try not to give much credence to random pictures online without sources but it wouldn't surprise me in the least.

I mean, on its own, regardless of bias, that is a pretty heavy list for an AP high school class.

I didn't realize that there was an Advance Placement class in GOP Theory.
I wonder what colleges accept that class, what score you have to achieve on the test, and what classes you get to exempted from by passing the test. Off-hand, I can only think of Liberty University, but perhaps there are a few other colleges....

Well son of a bitch, it was legit. The reading has already been cancelled due to understandable backlash.
It seems the assignment was to pick and read one of the books but that's still a ridiculously biased list.

Ha, that's nuts. I mean, if it is true that students were asked to pick a book, read it, and analyze it, well I don't really have a problem with that as honestly, that is a college-level assignment.
People are understandably upset with the ideological slant, and the quality of some of the books, but on the surface, it's not an altogether nefarious exercise for a high-schooler to complete.

If anybody's curious, the full list is being passed around as well but has the teacher's name on it. I believe it's fair game now that the article above lists his name.
If the fact that the e-mail is on there is a concern, could one of the mods let me know?

Well its not really legit. It does not support the intent of the sharing " The Alabama school system is brainwashing its students"
It was one teachers list for its student which wasn't vetted by the school board as per school board policy and was recalled when the principle was informed about it.

In seriousness, this is one case where a social media uproar actually targets someone who should be fired... in this case for attempting to tell students that global warming is a "hoax". That is anti-teaching.

He is probably the same type of person that complains that having books like To Kill a Mocking Bird in the curriculum is liberal indoctrination.
