I think the most favourable scenario is finishing in the last WC spot to face CHI. Don't want to run into Edmonton and certainly don't want Anaheim.
Of course you don't. I expect that seeing your favourite team in the playoffs for the first time after a full decade only to be swept by the Flames would be practically unbearable.

I heard 40% of the offence goes through McDavid. Shut him down and there goes the offence.
If Talbot gets hurt the Oilers are screwed. They have no other viable option.
This is basically true of every team playing in the playoffs. I think the real threat to the Oilers is that Talbot is liable to wear down before the end of Round 2.
