the only thing that Kassian has in common with Semenko is a drinking problem. That's it, Semenko actually played by bit of a code, while Kassian is a cheap shot artist and a complete dirtbag. Its funny that Edmonton forgave him so easily after he cheap shotted one of their own.
On the ice the guy is a complete piece of garbage.

I don't think Semenko played by any code. He would literally do anything in a fight, including kick.

Yep, just ask Jim Peplinski about that. Semenko was also known for the odd punch at an opponent when the linesman had that person all tied up. Make no mistake, Semenko didn't play by any code. He was a cheap shot artist like many on the 80's Oilers were.

I'm assuming this has already been talked about in here already but damn Justin Schultz 9th in league for D-man scoring. Getting away from Edmonton is such a blessing. Gagner with 26 points having a solid year so far as well.

Also, Dubnyk leads the league in shutouts as well as GAA and SV% among goalies with more than 5 games played.

no good:

Nobody knows this better than the Edmonton Oilers, who’ve spent a decade’s worth of Christmases wondering how on earth it was possible for a season to be over that quickly.
|
haha, so many years of no good.
Quote:
The Oilers didn’t bring their best game until the third period against San Jose (they had just nine shots in the first 40 minutes...
|
They had no business tying that game late, let alone getting a point. SJ should have slaughtered them. They were lucky in that game.
Quote:
“It’s Christmas, there’s so much hockey ahead of us, and important hockey, too, that we’ll just take it a day at a time,” said McLellan. “But it’s something that we’re pleased with, it means we’re going in the right direction and improving in a lot of different areas.
|
Oh man, improving in a lot of different areas....McDAVID, McDAVID, McDAVID. Shut him down and they start losing, I get it, he is a very good player and that isn't easy. Really not easy to do. I can't wait until the Flames play them again. I really hope they are on a roll when this happens and play Johnson plays lights out.
We will see when the pressure is on to make the playoffs if they can hold on. I would really love to see them falter in the last half of the season and the flames to jump up into the top spot in the division. Imagine the heart break if they finished ninth and missed the wild card. So sweet.

I'd like to know who the moron is that gave McDiver a first place vote for Canada's best male athlete. What a fool.

If there was a list of voters (all media I'm pretty sure), I'm sure we could pick them out.

I'd be surprised he had his hands free, they're usually all over McJesus.

Draisaitl screams as Kassian drags him out of the room and grabs a big old bottle of vaseline off of the shelves.
Child - "You fool. . . what is your job" and he points to Klefbom"
Klefbom sobs and says in a shakey voice "To get the puck to our master"
Child - "And don't you forget it, now leave all of you, out of our site, our master needs to start peeing in your water bottles so you may drink and get stronger"
