There's some mental issues with him right now, including anxiety.
Feel bad for him, in cases like this all you can do is hope he gets the help he needs and gets back to feeling good again. Stuff like this goes beyond sports. Wish him all the best.

Roberto Osuna just looked completely lost during that interview. I wish him the best.

The Jays' "mental health performance coach" is helping him but I would hope they hook him up with a psychiatrist or at least a therapist equipped to deal with mental health issues.

Well, I guess we won't have to worry about our horrid record when one game under .500 for awhile.

Huh? It doesn't seem that way at all. It seems like a serious mental health issue beyond a game. Hopefully the team gives him the time off and he gets the correct help.
Don't try to "tough it out like a man" like it's 1995, no reason to.

Wow. Guy seems cool as a cucumber out there. You'd never know it watching him.
Hopefully he can get the help he needs.
What a miserable season. I'm mean really...

Who said tough it out like a man???
As a Jays fan it sucks balls our closer and a key component to the team having any chance for success is flaking out.... I think more thought should have been giving to putting this info out there - it's going to make it harder for him to do his job moving forward... the average person can't comprehend the potential stress involved in a position like that - it takes a special kind of person to handle it and be successful doing it. That's why most guys that close out games are a little nuts - it takes more than a fastball...
Separate from a Jay's fan I hope he gets all the help he needs and comes out just fine ... But life sucks and we all have problems but we better hope he gets his sh*t straight or they find someone who can take the mound and the pressure....

Yay for stigma! "Flaking out"..."getting his sh*t straight"..."a little nuts". These are all disparaging terms for people battling with mental illness and further the stigma that they face.
Personally, I'm proud of him for being open and honest about his struggles. There are a ton of athletes who face the same issues that Osuna does and sadly many times we only hear about them after something really bad happens. I hope that his honesty will empower other people who are battling anxiety and other issues to reach out for help.

The Jays are going to give him as much time as he needs to deal with his off field anxiety issues and there certainly won't be any pressure put on him. When he's ready the closer job will be his again.

Jesus Christ, probably should have separated before that first paragraph.
Hopefully your commodity can get his **** together and get you some wins as a fan, meanwhile everyone else can hope for Roberto Osuna the person.

There's something about Hosmer that's always screamed ######bag to me. Seeing him get called out was very satisfying.

The hugs from Martin and the handshakes from the coaching staff for Osuna seemed special today

The positive thing about Smoak is his numbers seem to be ramping up as the season continues. Gives me much greater hope that he's really just elevated his game as opposed to simply having a hot start.
