Not surprising. They are a hell of a live band that has a history of amazing covers.

I finally got the opportunity to listen to this. Overall i thought it was really well done. There are some absolutely fantastic songs in this compilation.

Standouts for me:

Now For Plan A/Stay
Lake Fever
Vapour Trails
Emperor Penguin
The Depression Suite
Escape Is At Hand For The Traveling Band
Honey Please

The Now for Plan A - from Hey Rosetta is outstanding - a must listen

Its second on the list on the Strombo show web page

http://strombo.com/radio/

I found it tough to skip ahead/backwards on this webpage but if you download the Strombo App to listen its much easier to move freely through the collection.

Have a listen and post your thoughts

Gord on stage last night at Massey Hall with Blue Rodeo and the Sadies, performing "Lost Together". Possibly the last time we'll ever see him on stage. Damn onions.

Trailer for upcoming documentary about the Hip's final tour last summer. No doubt this will be an emotional kick to the gut.

I'm so relieved this was bumped with "happy" news. Heart skipped a beat for a sec there.

In other good news, CBC will re-broadcast the Hip's Kingston show on June 24th.

What better way to kick off summer than with a rebroadcast of the Tragically Hip's storied hometown show?

Tune in to CBC-TV on Saturday, June 24, at 8 p.m. (9 p.m. AT, 9:30 p.m. NT) for a commercial-free airing of The Tragically Hip: A National Celebration and relive the band's final stop of its 2016 Man Machine Poem tour.

He was down in Boston in April during the Sens/Bruins series. Saw him in a box with Bobby Orr a couple times. Was really happy to see him still living it up to the fullest. Like there was any doubt...

Make sure to set the recording to delete when you say so instead of the when space is needed. The latter is usually the default

Again, the CBC earns a ton of credit for this redux. No ads, full show, no editing. What a great job.

While everyone should donate to any cause they see fit when they are able or see fit, at any time regardless of the circumstance, it seems a small oversight that CBC or The Tragically Hip has not produced a keepsake DVD/Blu-Ray of this epic event with all or a majority or revenue sold going to battling cancer, or cancer research.

I would purchase several copies for myself and others.

I think Rob Baker addressed that on twitter by saying it wasn't happening any time soon.
