I think they took pictures of how he lived. Gas stove, wires pulled from electrical panel etc. To use at the bar hearing.
There is some speculation that Mike may have planted an audio or video device. I don't buy it though. That scene works better if he's imagining it or it was slowly using power to something inconsequential.

Ya, that's what I thought too... Just really surprised that the photos or anything else didn't make it to the hearing for the TV viewers... seemed weird...

Totally disagree, in that scene Chuck is shown sitting in the middle of his ruined house, his "illness" back in full force. It seems obvious to me that he realizes he has no control over it and he knows it is all in his head. He has lost everything, his wife, his family, his business and his career. He has nothing, no friends, no job and no future. In his final scene he has papers spread all over the floor and kicks the lantern into the pile which is sure to spread quickly. As the lantern nears the edge he stares intently at it, pauses, exhales deeply then delivers the last few kicks.
Will he live? probably. Survival instinct would surely take over once he starts burning.

They were pretty loosey-goosey about it. The director of the episode (maybe his name was Gould?) said they don't know what's going to happen. They don't know if he's dead or alive yet because they haven't started writing the next season.
IIRC, the guys who play Hamlin and Nacho and the host were convinced that he was dead. Who knows though? They may not know more than us, if the director is to be believed.
Agreed though, Chuck kicked that lantern off the table intentionally. That's how it looked to me.

The fact that they immediately cut to a graphic with a suicide hotline number should tell you all you need to know about whether or not Chuck was intentionally trying to kick over the lantern.

The Better Call Saul Insider that was posted is 2 hours long. Should be good. Diane Mercer and Bob Odenkirk are special guests.

Or because confirmation of his fate is a year away and you don't really want to take the chance.

Seems like the first half is all shop talk, gets more to the episode itself after that.

I have to think the renewal is about negotiating terms.
When you look at their L+7 ratings, it is a pretty successful show.

If Vince Gilligan wants it to keep going (I'm sure he does), Netflix would jump on it in a second if AMC balked for some reason.

Fantastic finale, gosh I love this show. I'm betting Chuck is indeed dead and someone else mentioned, no doubt in my mind it was suicide. The suicide help line is a pretty obvious point of proof of that.
The scene of Chuck sprawled in his bed was not much different from Tony Soprano's scene where he looked like he was in a coffin. I think the evidence is there.

I enjoyed the scene with Chuck's meltdown but found the last couple episodes somewhat boring. Glad the Sandpiper story-line is wrapped up. Missed Mike in the finale. Hope the show gets picked up again - the cinematography is wonderful for a tv show.

For chair yoga, Jimmy had the cat and cow poses reversed. I'm no yoga aficionado, but that bothered me!

I dont know why everyone is so hung up on Jimmy using Irene to get his Sandpiper payout.
Jimmy was supposed to be this smooth talking slimeball lawyer that we all know from breaking bad. I'm interested in seeing that character's development. But every time Jimmy does something low brow, the writers seem to add in some kind of underlying goal of righteousness so viewers would like him and see him as an Anti-hero
I'm hoping with Chuck's death in Season 3, we'll see him do more selfish terrible things, develop some connections with the criminal underworld and have fun doing it
Also, when the heck is Bill Burr going to show up?

The Best Actor on TV Is Better Call Saul’s Michael McKean
http://www.vulture.com/2017/06/vultu...call-saul.html
On Better Call Saul, a man we primarily associate with laughter fully transforms into a control freak with a broken mind who is as allergic to humor as he (allegedly) is to electromagnetism. Despite the fact that he has tackled dramatic material before, you may still think of McKean as the guy who hung out with Squiggy or sang “Big Bottom.” But while watching him on Better Call Saul, all you see is Chuck: intelligent, deadly serious, stubborn, miserable Chuck.
The Case for Michael McKean
Note: Spoilers about the Better Call Saul season-three finale will pop up in this section.
