Don't you know, there are no Oiler fans, there's only those "lifelong Flames fans" whose every post is something praising the Oilers. It's not because they're really Oiler fans. No, it's because they're just being realists who tell it like it is, and even though they're Flames fans, they can't deny the greatness of the Oilers.

Are you done yet? don't you and your other oily friends have to book your tickets to New Jersey for their draft party.

Really?

So the Flames won both games in Anaheim?

EPIC collapse after an epic collapse of losing 2 on home ice with the series evening up.

You've only got Nurse's stupidity and/or inexperience to blame for that play. Not a Kesler defender by any means, but put him in that position and the wily vet will take full advantage of it, and he did.

Nurse needs to be smarter on that play.

Headline for those who missed it.

And Spector wonders why he's never taken seriously. I don't see any other legitimate columnist speaking about future cups after a 2nd round loss. Don't worry St. Louis, Washington and New York, obviously your multiple cups are right around the corner too.

The Oilers win one round and are now a perennial cup contender?

Mark Spector is an ass.

And they won that round against the oldest team in the league who had limped into the playoffs with a terrible regular season finish.

The Oilers have always been a perennial cup contender, which merely suffered the temporary embarrassment of 27 years without a championship and 10 straight years without playoffs. Just as I am a perennial billionaire who is merely suffering from a temporary financial embarrassment due to not having any money.

But Mark Spector is indeed an ass.

Any time you engage with anything to do with the oilers the conversation starts and ends with 4 first overall picks.

Legit all you have to say and you've won..

Flames made the second round two seasons ago. Should we have been expecting a cup by now?

Err..cups*?

That orange jersey is so ugly, so happy to see the Oilers going that way full time next season. I haven't seen a nasty looking uniform since Calgary's Flaming snot Horsehead black jersey

Win one round against an aging declining team and get outplayed badly in 6 of 7 games against the Ducks and the Oilers are cup contenders all of a sudden.

Let them think like that. It will make their reactions to not making the playoffs more amusing.
