I have some dumb questions (First time playing GM connected, but I have played offline GM in the past a bit)

1. Can we start signing free agents or do we need to wait after the weekend when the league technically starts?
2. When is the rookie draft? Next season I'm guessing?
3. I noticed that we need to set our team to be CPU when we are away. I will rarely be away, but where do you even set that?

Can't think of any other questions. As for game days, just PM on facebook or txt my cell 519-212-3934

Yes you can sign free agents
There will be a draft at the end of the season, the 2013 one was already done
You go as if you're going to play a game and there's an option to change your status.

So we can sign free agents but no waivers? Right? Aren't most/all teams full rosters? So how do we get room if we cant drop any?

If your roster is full already, you have to make trades to free up space...unfortunately with the random rosters, most teams will be very close to the max number of players (can be seen in the contracts screen) so even if waivers were on, teams wouldn't have room to pick up much either. After the first season, the rosters open up quite a bit since you don't have to sign as many of the minor league contracts as the cpu does.

Commissioner approves them first but trades and free agent signings happen after each schedule advance, so the players you traded for will show up on your team after this segment.

So apparently there is no goalie fatigue in GM Connected, do you think we should put a cap on the maximum amount of games you're allowed to play your starter to make things a little more realistic? Somewhere around 60-70 perhaps? It just seems kind of lame if you play your starter 82 times.
