I'll pick up the game later today and create the league. I'm thinking we wait a couple days to get a few more members, maybe even until the weekend, so everybody has a chance to buy the game and get a feel for it a bit.

Sounds good. We'll have a bit of pre-season time to do roster moves or whatever until we advance to the regular season anyway so that should give people a bit of extra time to join.

Awesome. Having not touched GM Connected last year, I have a total noob question: Do you create the league and then let us know what the name of the league is and the password for it? I'm all for waiting until the weekend to get a feel for the game and possibly make some preseason trades.

Yeah, once the league is created Lox or myself will just post the name of it here and you can search for it and join. It will let you select your team and then the commissioner has to approve you.

FYI: adding to the rules, NO trading whatsoever is allowed with CPU teams. The Commissioner will simply veto any trade with a CPU GM.

K, league is up under Calgarypuck. I'll be on and off tonight so will accept ppl as I see the join requests.

As it happened last year with the random rosters, some teams are crazy strong compared to the majority.

Also, waivers already show some decent players available and we have always had problems with them so I was leaning towards having them turned off. That way when you have injuries during a sim, the cpu won't waive somebody you want without your approval. Let me know if any of you are opposed to this at all.

Annnnd I have a roster full of talent, all of which is over 32 years old, and absolutely no cap space whatsoever.

Anyone need some old dudes who are over 80? Matt Cullen (82 OVR C) is going cheap, Ray Whitney (84 OVR LW) is going... relatively cheap I guess, and Henrik Sedin (89 OVR C) is going not very cheap at all.

EDIT: Good lord Winnipeg is nuts.
