It's so wild for Millenials to see all this water nonsense and then remember being lucky to use the filthy water fountain in school once or twice a day.

Agreed. Stanley growlers are great. They also have really big vacuum tub things that are great for hot foods soups, stews and stuff like that.

Simplicity is better sometimes, and in the end it’s just a coffee container. I am not running around with the thing upside-down. It just needs to hold liquid while being held upright.
I found it was around the same amount of time for cleaning or less while being as effective. You get more agitation and stronger agitation than a dishwasher in about 20-40 seconds. I guess it just started with any of the crappy mug lids from the past that either leaked or trapped crap. I've been used to it.

Same as putting in agitators (ie: random weird shaped plastic gem toy things etc.) in a water bottle and shaking that with soapy water to clean it. Faster and more effective than using a bottle scrubber IMO. People literally use the same concept with those to break down protein in a drink container. I just used the concept in reverse to break down stuff that's dirty for drink containers/lids.

But... I am weird in constantly investigating improvements, effectiveness and efficiencies to certain regular tasks.

With the water pressure so low that you basically had to put your mouth on the spout.

I remember water bottles (especially cheap swag ones) with chemical tastes that burned your throat if you didn't wash it out properly with soap before filling with water and drinking?

If you want to see how clean your dishwasher actually gets your lids, put them in a container with a tsp of Cafiza for a half hour. Or if you have a mug with coffee stains. Prepare to be disgusted. This stuff is awesome, also good for things like wine carafes that are hard to get into.

If this thread has taught me anything, it's expensive, overpriced mugs will soon be passe.
Once, umm, I'll say a certain demographic catch onto something...

Yeah, that’s fine. But I cleaned the lid after every use. If there is still crud accumulating, that’s not good. I don’t need the friggin lunar lander mechanism to seal the cup, so I just use cups with a normal lids.

If you add enough wine you can drink just about anything.
