Also give a thumbs up to Po-Ke and the special bowl. Got the large and it was filling but a bit pricey for $15, but would rather spend a bit more to enjoy it. Overall a good lunch spot.
Also another unrelated but awesome lunch spot is Black Apron. If your near Chinook at lunch stop in. Gourmet cooking at a hole in the wall. Full marks.

In Calgary, Thai food begins and ends with Juree's Thai Place.
/Thai food talk.

Totally disagree. I was quite disappointed by Jurree's.
Calgary's Thai scene is rather lacking, but the best place is actually food court fast food. Jackie's in Eau Claire Market.

Delicious thai in Kensington I didn't think was to bad. Maybe I just don't know good thai.

I like them too, but their pad thai is terrible. The other food can be really good.

I've heard good things about Spicy Hut on Edmonton Trail but have never been there - any feedback from CP'ers?
ETA +1 for Jackie's Thai. I love that place.

Spicy Hunt came up in a discussion here at work. Pretty positive feedback from the people that have frequented the establishment. I have never been though.

Pretty expensive for what you get (compared to our last Po-Ke meal in Los Angeles) but their Po-Ke Special Bowl was pretty darn yummy. My wife got the Traditional Bowl and we found that one to be kind of bland. Customers can get a frequent purchase card and every seventh bowl is free, which makes the average price a little more attractive if you can go there that frequently. Their beverage selection was pretty unique but the bottled drinks turned out to be pretty pricey as well. The one thing I also liked was there was no prompt for tip when you pay by debit/credit, and there was no tip jar.

As you and other poster alluded to, this place is not selling Poke in any form. It's essentially a Chirashi Don with some added condiments like avocado, mandarin orange slices etc. to hide the small portion of fish. Leads to a pretty bland experience, and not worth the price in my opinion.
More concerning was that the fish was not cold, it was almost luke warm. I guess as long as they have high turnover it won't be a major issue, but I think they are an accident waiting to happen if not addressed soon.

Glory of India has closed. They are replacing it with a food truck. I noticed Mango Shiva closed. They are relocating out of downtown?

Calgary’s restaurant industry continues its flux of changes. In recent weeks we’ve seen the closure of Catch’s upstairs dining room and Gunther’s Fine Baking, the retirement of the principals behind Da Guido and Sushi Bar Miki, changes in concept at Black Pig Bistro (now Bridges on First), Chef’s Table (now Oxbow) and Parc Bistro (still waiting on this one), relocations for Mango Shiva and Tu Tierra and a changing of the guard at The Block.

Down of 17th Ave last night people were lined-up for over 30 minutes out the door at Marcus to get ice cream. One block away another new place was giving away free samples of rolled ice cream to try and get any customers.
What is the deal with Marcus that people will wait in line so long? There are other options all around.

Catch's main dining room closed? What is left there now, that was one of the places on my list to go for my wife's birthday and/or our anniversary.

I saw that food truck outside of my building downtown yesterday, didn't know that it was Glory of India owners. I still miss Paloma (amazing guacamole), although their Crossroads location is closer to our home.
Even though Full Circle Pi was close to our place, I'll admit I didn't care for it much. I'm not an oyster fan, so that part of the menu wasn't of interest, and found many of the pizzas too weird for my liking. Apparently something new is going into the Blind Monk pub location on 12th Ave & 8th St. Part of me wants to say that the Blind Monk location is a bit of a black hole, but I checked Google Maps and it's been there at least 5 years, so perhaps the location isn't as bad as I think.

Live in Bridgeland. Get Spicy Hut once a month. I wouldn't dine in again (restaurant is a bit sketchy), but definitely get the delivery.
Food is fantastic.

I walked by this morning and it looks like a new Mikey's Juke Joint location.
