The kings are such a frustrating team to play. They come out right away with their pick plays and interference which sets the tone and then it doesn't get called all game. The hacks on Johny and embellishment call were brutal.
Despite the shots, I thought the flames played one of their better games and it's amazing what confidence in your goalie does.
Ortio was great. Not to take anything from him but you expect that from a true number 1 goalie if you are going to be a playoff team. I hope he takes his first real opportunity this year and runs with it.
Worherspoon and Nakladel continue to impress.

Flames lose and I am not even mad.
Ortio has a good game in net, Nakladal and Wotherspoon look decent as a third pairing, and the team play overall continued to improve as the game went on. The never quit attitude was evident. And the Flames helped their odds for a top three pick.

On the other hand as well, I wonder if Jon Gillies could turn into a Jonathan Quick type goalie for us. They seem to play very similar.
