Well, won the battle of the "Jays" pretty handedly last week, and sitting first in the league. Still pretty iffy on my goaltenders. And it's early. Don't expect first to last long.

why am I ranked #2? Is it because I'm leading my division?
Anyway, I think my team will have a late-week push for positive stats. Obviously, being on the short end of 7-0 is not where I want to be, but what can you do when you don't have ANY players playing the first day of the week?

Big shakeup today with the trade between Chilli and myself. I traded away two of my favorite players in the game (Kane and Nyquist), but I instantly regretted taking Kane over Seguin the minute I made that pick (for the depth stats). So at least I can finally get over that. My goaltending takes a hit, but my backup plan of putting Scrivens in for saves, possibly wins, and maybe % someday near the end of the season when the Oil start trying still might work.
I'm just happy to see a trade was made, it started off as just Krejci for Holby, and after like 50 different proposals we finally were able to get this one through.

I just accepted a trade with Chill as well. That guy is going to have a new team next week.
I'm hoping Kopitar doesn't start to light up the scoreboards now. He has been pretty awful so far.

Yah the Kopitar for Sedin trade you sent me a couple weeks ago sure was tempting. Obviously I'm glad I didn't take it, but prior to the season I would have taken it in an instant. The Kings are a weird team though, with Richards, Williams, Kopitar, and Brown doing very little. I guess that's the Sutter way though, the one line is lighting it up right now, but that could change in an instant.

That big trade took forever to hammer out! But glad it's done.
Funny comparing where it started and where it ended up. All I wanted was a half-decent starting goaltender lol.
Kopitar is a risk right now, but he's strong in the dot, so if he can pick up his offence I'll be happy.

i didn't realize how important goalies would be in this league. I really hope Niemi can improve his play and not end up as a backup to Stalock.

I'm curious about some of the names. Would some people care to identify themselves? Some of you I can figure out (like Chill, Calgary Geo, btimbit, JKFlames and Street Farm) while i'm a little perplexed with others.

I'm Mike, Calgarygeologist.
I can't believe my team is -9 right now which is very unusual. My guys are usually a plus team.
I'm not too concerned about losing this week to Chill though because his team sucks.
