Retweeted Johnny Bench (@Johnny_Bench5):
@MLB @BaseballHall @Yankees Yogi sent me a telegram when I hit a HR to pass him, "I knew my record would stand until it was broken".

After his wife passed away, I made sure I made it to Yankee Stadium for the next Old Timers day. Seeing Yogi live in person is one of the greatest days of my life - and my mom and wife were along to share it with me. A true legend and amazing person

I just used Deja vu all over again the other day... I had no idea that came from him.

Bryce Harper already has 25 more career K than #Yankees Yogi Berra had during his 19-year career.

Those Yankee teams during his era were insanely good with Whitey Ford, Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris and Berra. Hell the Kansas City Athletics acted as their farm team.

One of the best players ever, and certainly the greatest character baseball ever produced.
RIP Yogi.
