Given that pretty much every single Republican candidate is all too eager to take away my reproductive rights, as a woman, you're damn right I'll vote on that singular issue. Also because a GOP candidate would likely do his best to go back on all of the progress this country has made for the LGBTQ community
This is a huge sticking point. The SCOTUS is already overly conservative, we don't need to add 3-4 more conservative Justices, this country will fall back to the 1750's in no time.

So what would a Hillary Clinton president look like? Given how utterly vague she is when answering questions and flip-flopping to try and pander to the most amount of voters as she can, I have no idea what her actual stances on anything are. What would her stance on the middle east cluster#### be? What would she do with healthcare? Keep Obamacare as it is or try to move to a more universal system like she wanted originally as first lady? Would she be open to approving the Keystone pipeline or follow Obama's lead in opposing it?
I realize that she's without question the better option than anyone the GOP manages to put forth, but the Democrats might be shooting themselves in the foot if they elect her as their nominee. Democrats and independents are far less likely to blindly vote for a party candidate than Republicans are, and if Hillary continues to be as vague and pandering as she has been then there won't be a lot of enthusiasm to vote for her and could result in a very low turnout, which is the only way I see a Republican winning the election

She's smart, she won't say anything until she knows who she's up against. In the meantime she can just sit back and watch the Republican candidates rip each other apart. It will be entertaining and prosperous for her.
Oh and another thing.
Republican candidate Ben Carson wants to ban selfie sticks, but guns are still OK.
Just don’t call him “moderate,” if you want to stay in the New Jersey governor's good graces.
“No,” Christie responded when a reporter asked whether he would describe himself using the m-word -- a label that, if it were to stick, could become a distinct liability in a Republican presidential primary setting.
Listen, I’ve vetoed tax increases," Christie said. "We have $2.5 billion less in discretionary spending in New Jersey today than we had eight years ago. I’ve balanced six budgets in a row. I’ve lowered the employee head count in New Jersey by 8,500 employees in five years. I’ve vetoed Planned Parenthood funding.”
I honestly think Chris Christie is the most level-headed rational guy they could nominate and would probably have the best shot, ultimately, in a general.
He has absolutely no hope.

It was a nice try by Bill Maher, but Sen. Warren (D-MA) is well aware that she would have to compromise the principles that her supporters love about her if she ran for president. She would have to take big donations in order raise the absurd amount of cash needed to be competitive. A presidential campaign would also reveal that Warren isn’t much different from Hillary Clinton on the vast majority of issues.
I absolutely love Elizabeth Warren but at least at this point in time--I want her in the Senate, battling against the GOP war-mongers who are doing everything they can do give tax cuts to CEOs while squeezing every possible penny out of American students. The Senate needs level heads with progressive ideas, and she fills that to a T. Also we're discussing people who think that Barack Obama is a far left socialist when he's actually pretty moderate and centrist. Few undecided voters are going to be voting for Warren who is 1) a woman and 2) much farther left than is Obama.

And even if he's the most level-headed, rational guy in the GOP--his policies have done quite a number on New Jersey. Current far-right GOP policies just don't work, as evidenced really clearly by Wisconsin and Kansas.

Ummm am I missing something here. Is this not just another way to say that New Jersey has lost 8,500 jobs in 5 years. This is a good thing?
I love how almost anything he said here can have the response "That's good?"

He's speaking to smaller government, which is a fundamental conservative platform issue. He's cut 8500 jobs in the state government. (I'm not sure I believe that.) If they were unnecessary positions, good on him. I think everyone who wants job growth wants it to be in the form of sustainable jobs.
I say all that without a clue about the New Jersey state government!

The House Oversight Committee approved a resolution on Tuesday night with a party line vote that would attempt to overturn a law passed by the District of Columbia Council in December that bans employers from taking punitive action against any employees for using abortion services or birth control. The bill could be scheduled for a full House vote as early as next week.
This comes on the heels of reaching an agreement on abortion language in a anti-human trafficking bill. The GOP had been using this to hold up the confirmation of Lynch as attorney general. The GOP had snuck in an ammendment to the bill that would bar funds going to organizations that provide abortion services.
I'm also sure that the hold up in approving Lynch (over 165 days...the longest since Reagan was in the white house) has absolutely nothing to do with Lynch being an african-american woman. Honest. The GOP and the far right wing supporters who essentially run the party right now would never stoop to that level. Nope.
Then again....you also had some nice racist and mysoginistic tinged comments from NRA president Wayne LaPierre the other day calling Obama a "demographically-symbolic president" and not wanting another one in Hilary Clinton. Such an outstanding organization the NRA.

For a party that claims to be about small government, it's crazy how much the Republicans insist on inserting regulation into people's personal lives.
It's another glaring example of the idiocy of the libertarian thought-process.
"Whoa hey now, if an employer doesn't want to employ women without robbing them of their agency, who is the government to tell them they can't? The market will sort it all out."
I know how bad it would be for the U.S., but can you imagine how entertaining four years of Ted Cruz would be for everyone else? Complete bat#### insanity.
