An organization that drives you around to the breweries in the city for tastings. I haven't checked this out yet but did a similar your in Vancouver last summer and really enjoyed it! This one seems likes it's a bit longer with a lunch at Craft included.

Has anybody looked into Canada Craft Club? A group of us are thinking about it, but would like to at least see an example of what we can expect. I'm also a little leery about moving up to the 4 or 6 pack and just having duplicates. Limiting it to just bombers seems like an odd move too. It's nice for those of us not in Calgary/big city that don't have the potential access to a lot of these beers.

If anyone is in the Lacombe area, they recently opened a brewery/tap room Blindman Brewing. Has great beer and they're always changing what they've got on tap. They're about to come out with a sour beer which is super tasty and will be great on a hot day. Staff is super friendly and the place has a nice small town feel to it.

So Big Rock has re-released the Bourbon edition of their Barrel Aged Series from 2014. It's a Porter style, extra strong at 10.4%... It may be my favourite beer of all time. When I was at Kensington Wine Market on Monday they only had 6 left, and I bought them out (but they were planning on getting more). I can't recommend it enough, it's been in my head since the last time they released it and I was ecstatic that they made some more.

I havn't been up but am planning on going.
Have you tried the Troubled Monk in Red Deer?
I work around the corner from them. They do a very good American Brown Beer.

I have. It's decent, but I find they aren't really making anything out of the box.
I do like the brown and the pesky pig and Really liked the White IPA but they aren't making it anymore.
Lacombe is brewing quite a few different beers plus I find the Owners/Brewmaster easier going in Lacombe, RD they're a little too uptight.
Troubledmonk is open Sundays - Lacombe is not.

They've got a Nitrogen tap at the brewery. The barrelled aged porter on NITRO is so smooth.

I figured this would be a good thread to post this in.
Some friends and I are looking into purchasing a good home brewers system. Just wondering if any CPer's would happen to know of a local/Canadian manufacturer we could buy some stainless steel fermenter's from? Looking for a 30L/7gal or possibly double that amount. Willing to spend the money for good quality.

I see they have a buy/sell area where you may be able to get what you are looking for or, at the very least, I'm sure they will have the best references.
And good luck.

I've been brewing for a few years
I can't think of a good reason to get a stainless fermenter other than aesthetics.
We use 60L speidels. Highly recommend them.

Finally got around to trying out Six Corners- the trailhead and triple summit. Both very decent IPAs. The triple summit is an imperial with 10%ABV... was just about jumping off the roof after.

Had the Last Best IPA on the weekend, very good. Reminded me a lot of Muskoka Breweries Session IPA.. probably because they are both unfiltered.
