I didn't cheer for the leafs last night. I wanted both teams to get hurt and the game be considered a loss for each of them. I want the same outcome saturday.

With the Leafs being in the East their wins don't affect our playoff chances but we need the Oilers and Cauncks to drop as many points as possible as well as every other team in the Pacific Division and the Western Conference as a whole.

Always make me sick hearing Leafs fans cheering in our building.

I don't often beg for a win, but come on Flames, we really want this one!

The same defense partners stopped Ovechkin and company... don't tell me Kessel line are better than Ovechkin's line.

It's like it's Phil Kessel and the Leafs vs. the Panthers.

TSN has butchered the hockey theme so hard.

The Leafs start the season strong, but when faced with the rigours of a full season ... they fold like a cheap tent.
This happened once. Post 04-05' lockout, they usually play their best in February.

And the Leafs have elite goaltending. Two legit #1 guys. That plays a huge part. In 11-12' they had horrible goaltending.

BTW 9.78 is still high. it was 6th best.

They play their best in Feb.-March when they're already out of the race. Maybe they can get a February championship banner.

And they have not just one, but two "elite" netminders? When did they pick up, for example, Quick, Rinne, Lundqvist, Rask? You know, guys who have actually won something or proven they can post "elite" numbers over the course of a career vs. doing it over a few months.

Changing topics slightly, the TSN homepage is puke-inducing: http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/

You're tossing around the "elite" label a little too freely I think.

Are people denying the Leafs have the best goalie tandem in the NHL?

James Reimer 6 9 1.99 177 .949 1
Jonathan Bernier 9 20 2.34 284 .930 1

Said his development is on track and looks to the 2015-2016 season as his pro debut (3 years in college).

Most teams would probably take one Quick or a Rask over two guys who are off to good starts but haven't proven anything.

Sounds like Jackman is in for Backlund, who sits tonight. I don't want to hope that Backs is hurt, but otherwise, whaaaaaaaaaat?

You would feel self-conscious too if these were the biggest faces of the team you chear for:
