That team doesn't have the structure, the coaching or the goaltending. Still hasn't changed, and no one there is getting younger.

Not even close. They don't have the goaltending or defence to go far. Word is that McDavid has something really nagging him injury wise and wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't make it through the LA series. They can probably get past LA but then they are done.

Coming out of my PO pool I can safely say that NYI, Nashville, Washington and LA are considered writeoffs. People are super iffy about Winnipeg, Vegas and Vancouver.

Are they just brainwashed every summer into forgetting the most recent result/failure? They're becoming a broken record.

They never change their approach either. Swap the coach for a less experienced guy, add offense at the deadline, neglect the glaring defensive weaknesses.

Thankfully it's unlikely to change for the remainder of whatever window they believe exists.
