Standings Prediction

Play standings prediction. There will be award money in the end. 2014-2015 Cap.

Western standings prediction (most playoff team correct) = 500k
Eastern standings prediction (most playoff team correct) = 500k

*Tiebreaker will be the number of corrects in the other conference

There will only be one winner for each conference.

Also include your two Stanley Cup finalists and the number of games the finals go to. The GM to correctly pick this will get 1 mill in cap money next year.

Deadline is Aug 25th. I know the UFA still needs to happen but as we have seen in the past it won't impact the standings much at all.

Wow, just a little premature? There are still a lot of deals to be made and rosters to be reshaped considering we have nearly two months to go before the regular season?

The rosters that are going to be in playoffs imo have made their moves, rest of the rosters can keep waiting to make moves I guess.

Not to mention teams, will decide to 'rebuild' and change a bunch of times throughtout the season anyways so it really doesnt matter when we do it.

I will judge primarily based on GM history as opposed to the team anyways.

Don't understand why cap is being rewarded here.... I would rather see cap rewarded for actual things rather then predictions

Ya I agree, seems like a pointless exercise right now, especially with the cap allocation, 500k? Really? More of an excuse for Ace and Gary to vent their frustrations against the few GM's they dislike in a passive aggressive manor.

I don't think UFA will make a huge difference, however it could be the difference between 9th or 10th moving to 8th and in the playoffs.

25th is the deadline folks. Play if you want to, no biggie if you don't participate. For some GMs that won't be a change anyways.

Why do we need to do entire conference when we are only getting points for predicting playoff teams?

Because he is likely going to put together a list based on what everyone put in. Ie.. See if it is consensus that the AVS finish dead last in the conference.
