Happy with the win, but man, they barely squeaked that one out thanks to Markstrom. The entire team owes him a round of drinks and a steak dinner after that game.
Lindholm and Markstrom pumping up their trade values. Now, Conroy has a week to get some deals done before they play again.
Is there an all star roster freeze?
Flames just don't have enough firepower and or chemistry for the guys that should be the offensive threats.
Pospsil really gave Kadri and Zary space and that was the line that gave the Flames energy up front before he got hurt and coincidently the losing streak started.
Tonight, Chicago's style doesn't allow d men to move up as much for opponents, so that weapom that Flames have utilized wasn't there tonight.
I don't believe that winning or losing this game was going to change whatever direction that this is about to go in.
Glad Markstrom got the shutout. He definitely deserved it with all the turnovers. This healthy Flames team didn't seem to generate as many high scoring chances as the depleted rebuilding Hawks team.
Nice for Lindholm to get that monkey off his back. I thought he had a really strong game - big hit, goal, some good passes, solid defence, and won a lot of draws at the end. Any team scouting him tonight would have really been impressed. That's the Lindholm that can play anywhere in a lineup and under any circumstance, and help you win. We haven't seen him nearly enough this season obviously, but good to know he is still there somewhere.
The Quest stands upon the edge of a knife. Stray but a little, and it will fail, to the ruin of all. Yet hope remains while the Company is true. Go Flames Go!
Has anyone watched the Alexandre Daigle movie? This is the first time I've even heard of it. I'll watch if it isn't just making fun of a 'bust' draft pick.
He took a lazy penalty in the neutral zone and that was that it appeared. Didn't see him after that, while didn't see much of Scwindt or Dueher, but when they were out there it was with someone else.
