I could never wish for any Canucks success, I've been a Flames fan for waaaaaay too long and my memory is way too good.

F that team. Hope they have a classic game 7 Canucks collapse.

The Canucks suck.

LETS GO SMASHVILLE!

I don't think anyone wants to see the Canucks have success, we are just using them to get rid of Edmonton.

They can proceed to get crushed by Colorado after.

Colorado or Dallas can destroy them. eff the canucks.

The only good outcome of an Oiler-Canuck series is that every home team loses every single game so all the fans can go home sad.

I guess our 4th turning into a 3rd is the extra incentive to hope that Van can beat to Oilers.

In a playoff series anybody could win TBH.

In a different world it could be 3-2 Kings lead as really they were better in games 4 and 5. Instead they lose the series 4-1. NHL games are generally a toss up most nights and with better PKing (and more even reffing) the Kings likely are ahead in that series.

Canucks tend to get up when they play Edmonton, so think we'd see a bit more energy from that group than they've shown against Nashville.

And Nashville isn't getting enough credit either. They were the 5th best team in the NHL over the last 41 games.

1) Dallas
2) Carolina
3) New York
4) Tampa Bay
5) Nashville
5) Florida
7) Edmonton

There is no extra incentive when it comes to hoping someone beats the Oilers. That's always the best option.

I wanted Zadorov benched before he was traded but that was for different reasons lol

Even if you don't think Vancouver can beat Edmonton (and I think it's unlikely with their goalie situation), you want Vancouver to play them because it's likely to be a longer series and a more punishing one, given they have some big dudes playing for them. Nashville basically just has McCarron and that's it.

Canucks about to lose to the Preds in 7, because JT Miller wore a Silovs pink dress shirt during practice.

Hahaha. I don't think there's any way the Canucks don't move on to round 2.

Nope

The hate hierarchy for the other Canadian teams is:

Edmonton > Vancouver > Toronto > Winnipeg > Montreal > Ottawa

When it's Edmonton vs Vancouver you always cheer for Vancouver, and even more incentive since we have a draft pick attached to Vancouver.

I would cheer for a lineup of Hitler, Tojo, Mussolini, Genghis Khan, Caligula, with Ivan the Terrible in net over the Oilers.

This about my order of operations too. For me Toronto and Vancouver are roughly tied in a distant second with Winnipeg pretty close behind them, then a pretty big gap for the other two. It’s mainly about their fans (in Toronto’s case it’s about media).
