I'm not sure if this thread gets enough publicity or what, but nobody seems to know about the existance of the "Official Poll Request" thread.
Another poll is desired at your earliest convenience.

Can we have a mid-way point Report Card Poll like this one http://forum.calgarypuck.com/showthread.php?t=50390 ?
How does the latter half of the season pan out for the Flames?
1) Flames remain hot and win the Division, challenge for the entire West.
2) The Flames emerge as a good but not elite team. Middle seed playoff spot and a 2nd or 3rd round exit.
3) The Flames continue to be streaky both ways and squeak in to the playoffs for a 1st round exit.
4) Things fall apart for the team and they miss the playoffs all together.
Thanks!

I would like to make a poll about Zetterberg vs Heatley. Me and TOTF had a discussion about who is the better player and had a difference in opinion. Was wondering if a poll could be made on who the better player is. (Also Thornton-Heatley but the poll for this is not as necessary as Zetterberg-Heatley). Thanks in advance.

What about a poll regarding how the NW will finish up this year?

Hi Jiri. Is it possible to set up some polls (similar to the "Best Flames number 28 of all time" type polls that are ongoing right now) for a number of these regular season predictions (i.e. Norris Trophy, Vezina Trophy, Jack Adams etc.) listing the most likely award candidates.
Be an opportunity for CPer`s to actively participate in something fun, also would be interesting to get some initial perspectives via the polls from CPer`s at the onset of the season. See how things pan out by year-end vs. these early projections
Was thinking something along the following lines as potential poll questions:
- Norris Trophy (List of all likely candidates: i.e. Lidstrom, Phaneuf, Chara, Pronger, Niedermayer, Campbell, Green etc.)
- Vezina Trophy (List of all likely candidates: i.e. Brodeur, Nabakov, Lundqvist, Luongo, Price, Kiprusoff, Turco etc.)
- Jack Adams Trophy (i.e. Guy Carbonneau, Mike Babcock, Dave Tippett, John Stevens, Bruce Boudreau etc.)
- Hart Memorial Trophy (i.e. Alex Ovechkin, Sydney Crosby, Jarome Iginla, Evgeni Malkin, Nick Lidstrom, Henrik Lundqvist, Martin Brodeur etc.)
- Stanley Cup Champions (i.e. Detroit Red Wings, Pittsburgh Penguins, Montreal Canadiens, Dallas Stars, Washington Capitals, San Jose Sharks, Philadelphia Flyers, Calgary Flames etc.)
- Calder Trophy (i.e. Steven Stamkos, Drew Doughty, Fabien Brunnsten, Zach Bogosian, Kyle Turris etc.)
- 1st Coach To Be Fired (i.e. Alain Vignault, Denis Savard, Peter Laviolette, Ron Wilson etc.)
- Bertuzzi`s Point Production (i.e. 10-15 Pts, 16-25 Pts, 26-35 Pts, 36-45 Pts, 46-55 Pts, 56-65 Pts, 66-75 Pts, 76-85 Pts, 86+ Pts)
- Cammalerri`s Point Production (i.e. 10-15 Pts, 16-25 Pts, 26-35 Pts, 36-45 Pts, 46-55 Pts, 56-65 Pts, 66-75 Pts, 76-85 Pts, 86+ Pts)
Anything else that would be interesting & interactive feel free to add. Be fun to have the CP Pre-season NHL Awards.
Cheers,
Paul

Kippers SV% ? Given the first three games and the subsequent discussion on his declining stats. Would be a good yardstick for measuring fan confidence in his potential to get himself back to his old standards or if the decline will continue.

Pretty self explanatory poll:
http://forum.calgarypuck.com/showthread.php?t=64937
Would love to see this as a pole, essentially will the Flames get to 105 points or even 110+ points and become true contenders for the Cup.
It also raises interesting choices around the trade deadline. Is it worth it to sacrifice for tomorrow if your team today has almost no chance (a borderline playoff team like the last two years)?
My personal opinion is if this team is in the 6-10th spot, don’t sacrifice a future real chance at the cup, if anything trade away assets and load up for the next year and the future. I know what making the playoffs is, you have done it for 4 straight years, I would rather miss when you really did not have a chance for 2-3 good ones in the future. I know you can't gurantee anything in the future, but your present is essentially a guranteed fail looking at 20 years of history if you are in that 6-8 spot. The big deadline deal for a 3-5 place team to elevate into the top of the conference is definately a good option.
Deadline deals - for a 6-8 place team - worth it??

Can we start a poll/thread on this 4 game road trip regarding how many points the Flames will come home with?

Poll Suggestion:
Flames Ticket Prices Next Year:
1) Increase
2) No Increase
3) Decrease
Given the financial crisis, I was wondering what people think the flames will do.
