Well on the bright side, at least you didn't know that Luke kissed his sister yet...

Ha, my buddy who's a Sudanese immigrant just got the old "driving while black" treatment by cops in the NE.

Literally pulled over and asked to prove who he was and where he was going, no actual driving infraction. Just wanted to make sure he wasn't going to rob someone, I guess, lol. When he proved he was fine, they let him go. Didn't think that was a thing the cops could do, but here we are.

Restaurants that don't take dinner reservations on the weekends.
I'll gladly take my friends and family to another establishment.

Perhaps someone who is in the "biz" can explain this to me, as I don't get it.

I'm not in the "biz" but I think they do this because of no-shows. Why reserve a table for someone who might not show up when there are a bunch people waiting in the lobby on weekends?

I hate it too though.

That can be easily solved with a $50 deposit if you want to make reservations.

Do I really want to give my credit card info over the phone to some 18 year old hostess? Nah.

In some restaurants they've called to ensure that we're showing up (at said time), which we did.

Why not? Don't credit cards cover fraud, and besides are you giving it to someone more special and trustworthy when you order something over the phone or online or to the waitress handing you your bill?

Yes they do, however I really don't need the headache associated with fraud, paperwork, new cards etc.

Online shopping is much safer (IMO), as there is a digital paper trail.

Many establishments don't even physically handle your cards anymore, they bring the pin pad to you or you're up at the front paying. I generally don't let my CC out of my site, nor give my number out to a random hostess who needs new shoes / new identity.

At red lights, please pull up only to the big white line on the road. When I'm going straight through an am in the lane to the right, I like to be able to check both ways for any runners. When you impede my view by pulling halfway into the crosswalk, your incompetence becomes my problem and puts me at an elevated risk. Not only that, but you impede any pedestrians.

Dairy Queen has ground my gears for a while now. WTF happened to butterscotch? 'We dont have that, we have caramel'
You know what? Caramel is not the same thing. It is similar. But not the same. And it sucks on ice cream, it doesnt stay soft and delicious like butterscotch. It thickens up when it gets cold and its just...blech.
Bring back the butterscotch!

Paid a traffic defence guy $150 to squash a ticket for me. Those were his exact words. "For $150 you'll never have to worry about this ticket again".

Go to re-register my vehicle and that ticket shows up as unpaid. Paid it, called him and he denies telling me that. I remember his exact words, kind of felt fishy at the time because I thought how can he be so confident the ticket will be squashed but I had used him before with success. Oh well, lesson learned.

I live in the neighbourhood, but everything about the T&T parking lot (and greater shopping area) in Harvest Hills drives me crazy. People randomly stopping everywhere, nobody following right of way rules, some people jaywalking and some people using crosswalks. I contest that it is the worst driving experience in the city, compounded in horribleness during a long weekend.

Waiting for my townhome to be built.

When we bought in December they told us July. Of course, we weren't expecting to be in it in July, but were hoping for maybe late August... still don't have our 35-days-til-posession notice, so looking at mid-September at best now. Argh.

I just hate having spent a fortune on a down payment and having nothing to show for it. I know it will be way worth it when we finally get in but the wait is agonizing.

But when parking are they being respectful of other peoples' vehicles?
