The Flames desperately need a line that can face top lines and manage to control the play in the offensive zone.

He shows the talent in other circumstances. His problem in the NHL is he is too panicked. If he can just relax with the puck and trust himself, like he does playing for Sweden, etc., he could be a decent producer.
I really thought his confidence looked higher playing with Baertschi - maybe a combination of youthful enthusiasm and a if-you-can-do-it (at 20) so can I kind of thing.

I wonder how many chances Cammalleri gets with top line minutes. He's been consistently below average.

Irving see's some minutes tonight. With comments coming out on the Fan that Calgary is the only team in the NHL this year to have only 1 goalie play all the teams minutes, Irving is bound to go in, way to ensure Kipper gets lit up and pulled......

#Flames defenceman TJ Brodie - who hails from Chatham, ON, - will have 50 family members and friends in the crowd tonight! #CGYDET

Flames out shoot, out chance, and out play the opposition once again, only this time they capitalize on some of their scoring chances, and over come some questionable goaltending to win 6-4.
It also starts a 10-3-2 run over the next 15 games, which puts the Flames right back into the mix.

Hopefully the Flames come out with a continuance of their performance against CHI.
If they can do that this should be a win. Lets just hope its not another three point game.

Kipper sporting the worst Save Percentage in the entire league. Not expecting that to improve tonight against a hungry Detroit squad.
5-2 Wings.

Ya the road games do not matter for sure, that was when the pressure was on last year. There is not as much pressure early in the season, so totally different circumstances are at play in my opinion.

I just don't think he'll ever be more than 15 goal guy (and that's coming from a fan of his). That's okay though since his playmaking ability looks very good this year so I think he could still top out as a 15 goal, 50 point guy if everything breaks right. With his ability to drive puck possession that's a solid 2nd line centre and valuable asset to any team.

Flames take this one. Wings are battered and riddled with injuries. Besides we have Hudler and they don't.
4-2...Las Llamas.

It just looks odd playing Tanguay at C and Cervenka at LW.

If guys like Cervenka, Hudler, and Backlund consistently got Iginla's matchups, they might not look as fresh as they do now. I understand the coach here. You have guys who have played those minutes all their careers, and then you have two unproven players and a career secondary scorer.
