Default Amazon Launches Cloud Player

http://www.amazon.com/b/ref=amb_link...rd_i=163856011

Looks pretty interesting. Of course it isn't available to Canadians yet. Buy one album through Amazon and your cloud drive jumps up to 20GB!

Cloud Player is available on computers and Android devices (no word on iOS yet).

Nice move here - it'll be interesting to see how long it takes Google & Apple to follow suit.

If there are song/album purchases within the app I dont think you will see this on iOS - come on Blackberry support.

Uh it apparently supports BB too - didn't include that.

Very unlikely you will see iOS support, especially considering the rumours that Apple are looking to attempt to implement a Cloud service to Itunes with the iOS 5 update in the fall.

Definitely the way of the future as far as getting media on a mobile device. I just hope they don't stop putting harddrives on them, there's too many spots with no coverage.

Apple's move.

There's nothing (yet) that would preclude Amazon from offering this type of service on iOS. Dropbox already exists in this fashion (sort of), and cloud music apps are around, Rdio being my favourite.

Yeah - the only sticking point would be in the in-app purchasing.

That said, it sounds like Amazon's in a bit of a grey area with music licensing so Apple might delay things based on that, as well.
