Go servers!
Sail on the wind!
1 job to do.

I feel that maybe you don't actually like tipping.

I'll probably go from tipping 15-20% to 10%.
Same, starting next month, once the minimum wage goes up, I'm dropping my tip to 10%.

If a server has 5 tables in their section and an average bill total of $100 means she's bringing in $75 an hour at15% tips. This peak time is only say 2 hrs long and the other 2 hrs on shift are half with let's say a 7.5% tip out.

So 225/2 = $112 in tips. So a $5 increase in minimum wage over 4 hours increases base income buy about $20.

So you can reduce your tip by 10% roughly if you want servers compensated at the same rate. Now it will be interesting if tip out also drops as a result which would mean a 20% reduction in tipping.

So if you tip 20% now tip 16%. If you tip 15% tip 12%

I would probably give $50-$75 assuming the order is right and hot. That's a lot of pizza to be loading into a car.

Twice a year for the last ten years or so we order 32 pizzas for our social group. Our president walks into pizza 73 and the guy there says "32 Pizzas?" And our president nods gives him the date and $20, they know the order. The same guy delivers the pizzas on the Saturday night and we tip him $50. Not sure if he is the franchisee, manager, employer or what but he takes good care of us and makes $70, worth every penny for us.

Breakfast Television featured a story this morning, where a couple place five $1 bills on the table before being served. Every time there is a problem with their service, they remove $1 from the table. They say they get great service once servers realize what is happening.

Seems rude and condescending to me. And cheap - $5?

Seems to have originated from an old 3rd Rock episode (two minute mark):

Third place!

Can we all agree to stop tipping all together unless a server truly earns it?

Thanks.

No kidding. What a couple or morons. They would have no idea how many disgusting 'extras' they've eaten because of this cheap and douchy behaviour.

I go downstairs at McMahon for my beers now.
