Thumbs down Flames nearly come back, lose 4-3 to Nashville

Shows that you need to play more than 3 good minutes in a hockey game.

Ah well, at least they showed some heart

Decent 1st, then the team disappeared for 35 minutes.

I want blood Saturday.

I thought they were due for a huge comeback. Felt really good about it. Too bad.

Sucks the Flames got zero bounces until the final couple minutes, what else is new. Bottle that for saturday!

All they need to do is take that effort and apply it to the other 55 minutes.

Too little, too late.
Obviously you like to see that push at the end, but there wasn't much to like about this game overall.
Good lesson, like Hrudey mentioned, to help illustrate to the team that you can't ever just give up.

I missed 5/6ths of the game tonight, still saw all of the Flames' goals.

Did they only try for 10 minutes?

Frantic finish better not hide the fact the flames were utter garbage for the first 55 minutes.

Don't wanna brush this one off as "one of those stinkers", because they have had 3 of those in the last week and a bit.

Wow they almost came back against a team without 2 of their top 2 dmen, and playing their backup.

Thanks flames

Now i'm extra peeved they couldn't tie the game up.
Too little too late, eh boys?
Nice try, but it doesn't change the fact that they were garbage for almost the whole game against a team without their top 2 defensemen.

Posted this in the GT, but this team can't win these big games the last few weeks. They just cannot create any separation or close the gap on anyone every time they have a chance to. Continually dropping big games. The inconsistency is something to behold. Look great for one or two games, look like total garbage the next game. Jesus Christ. Will this team put in some f'n effort for more than 2 games?!?
LETS GO!!!

Destroy the Oilers on Saturday.
Just.

So.... Elliot back on net on Saturday?

Also, Monahan knocking players stick out of another player's hand finally worked

Notice how much better the team was when they abandoned the system and went for it? System is stifling more often than not.

Huh.

It's almost as if competing increases your chances of winning.
