That's right. And, why I agree he didn't come across as a journalist, but I didn't expect he was trying to be. I've read since that his is ambition, so he has some work to do I suppose.

Agree to disagree. I visualized his experience quite vividly.

The people up in arms about Penn's writing style amuse me. You remind me of vegans who just love letting the world know you're vegans. Who gives a ****. It's Sean Penn, not Walter Cronkite. It was entertaining to read about a cool and bold adventure.

I'm gonna shock everyone, but he's out again. Why not just execute the mother####er? Save the time and money.

I would expect that escaping from Colorado's ADX where he will spend the rest of his life in 24 hour a day isolation in a poured concrete cell will be pretty much impossible
He'll spend the rest of his life with such luminaries and stellar human beings as Juan Abrego the former head of the Gulf Cartel and Osiel Guillem. If course he'll never see them or be able to talk to them, because you know isolation 24 hours a day and soundproof poured concrete cell.

El Chapo is suffering froma mild form of dementia say his lawyers
Quote:
Six months ago, a mental health expert was called by his defense team to the Cefereso prison in the border city of Ciudad Juárez where he was being held.
After the evaluation, the psychiatrist who examined him went as far to say that the infamous drug lord is suffering from a mild form of dementia.
The two-hour evaluation was conducted by Dr. Julio Cesar Ayuzo Gonzales on Aug. 24.
“I arrived to the conclusion that Mr. Guzman Loera suffers from a generalized anxiety disorder, a mild neurocognitive disorder (known as dementia) and he has started to forget things. In some of the tests he showed flaws, especially when it came to memory issues, was not able to specify dates or where he was or what he had had for breakfast or eaten that day,” Dr. Ayuzo wrote in the report.
Guzman, 59, also revealed he had auditory hallucinations – he would hear the sound of glasses clinking for example, or footsteps outside his cell when nobody was there.
Dr. Ayuzo said that at first Guzman didn’t want to admit to the hallucinations because he worried showing weakness would jeopardize his place in the criminal hierarchy.
In his report, the specialist added that Guzman is taking medication for his anxiety but recommended further examination by mental health specialists.

I'd probably have a little anxiety too if more people wanted me dead than alive.

Yes, because leading an existence permeated with crime is exceptionally conducive to a long life and excellent mental health.
This seems like a fairly standard employment hazard for his chosen line of work.
