I'll likely power a few more types over 2000 at some point too.

I have tons of Eevee candy and Eevees to evolve more 2000+CP evolutions. Saving for the gen 2 evolutions.

Anyone else notice that the likelihood of collecting different ball types might have changed recently? I think it must have been about 55% regular, 30% great, 15% Ultra. Now it seems more like 50% regular, 40% great, 10% ultra. Either way, it seems like I'm collecting more great balls at the expense of the regular and ultra.

My advice, which is far easier said than done, is to hold on to all your dust. Until maybe level 30.
All my 'prized' Pokémon were easily surpassed (and since sent to professor) by simple evolutions at 30 or beyond - and I wasted a lot of dust on ones I junked, including a bunch initially with low IV.
In my opinion, you need about 12 Pokémon to drop in gyms, with high CP the only thing that matters. You need another 10 big guns with great attacks, for tearing down gyms.
You need a mix in the 1000-1200 point range - grass, electric and water Pokémon with best attacks - for building gym prestige, maybe 20 Pokémon in total in those groupings.
I could throw the rest away - don't ever use them, even though at times I probably could. Have also tossed out anything not 'strong' or 'amazing' (red appraisal - other colors use different terms) and I'm sure I wasted dust on many of them too.
If your Pokémon doesn't fit that criteria, or whatever your own may be instead, save your dust for when you really need it.

Walked around and drove around Tom Campbell park for less than half an hour, caught 5/6 Omanyte that I came across, so now have Omastar.

Earlier today, Pikachu and Raichu briefly were either Male or Female, although it appears that for many, they are all male again.

Need to hatch Togepi, Smoochum, Elekid and Magby to finish off the Pokedex once again! Oh, and evolve Togetic, of course!

Do these things even exist in the wild and not from eggs? I've never seen a Tangela or Chansey.

At 135 and the slog to try to catch the remaining ones is painful and it seems like all the eggs I hatch are garbage at this point. I got sandshrew 5 eggs in a row -.-

^ Tangela may be one of the rarest in the wild.
Have pretty much quit playing since the starter Pokemon event. One spin, one catch a day is usually all. A gym battle as necessary to stay in 10-12.
The only time actually catching, used Silph Road to find a HUGE Magikarp nest. +/-1500 candies for a couple pretty long days spent spinning Pokeballs.

Nests are new again now, as of a couple days ago, so not much showing - but will fill in soon as discovered and confirmed. If you are willing to drive to where you need to go, can maybe fill in those last few spots pretty quickly. Link to Calgary area of nesting sites

Doesn't look like a lot of help showing yet. It will become more populated as nests are reported, but for example, Geodude is spawning in Stanley Park.
