Iggy made a bad decision - there is no debating that imo.

The Bruins aren't gonna wim many Presidents Trophies, but they're made for the play-offs. I'd love to be a Bruins fan - they play hard, beating teams on the ice and getting in the opposition's heads off it.

Not really. Had he chosen the Bruins, and assuming history played out in a similar fashion, he would have at least gotten closer.

If his goal was to win a Cup, on any level, this can be defined as a bad decision. Of course, we now have the benefit of hindsight.

The Penguins defense wasn't the problem in this series, and the "3 slowest players available (plus Jokinen)" carried the Penguins for a month and showed how valuable they could be to the team. There was a specific moment when the Penguins took a step backwards and never recovered, but it wasn't when Shero made those trades - it was when Crosby returned against the Islanders. As I said a few games ago, if a coach can't find a way to insert the best player in the world into the lineup without hurting the team, that coach has gotta go.

Did not like the officiating. Both teams should have been penalized more, to protect players.

Got to feel for Iginla there, but overshadowing that is the complete collapse of the penguins....Wow! 2 goals in 4 games and it didn't even dawn on Bysma to change things up. I don't think its that bad for iggy since he finally made it back to the 3rd round....although I hardly noticed him out there.

I wanted to see Iggy win a Cup, but at the same time it's fun to watch the mighty fall. So sick of having the Penguins constantly shoved down our throats as the end all and be all of hockey teams. It's very satisfying to watch them lose in such spectacular fashion. Yea, they made it to the 3rd round, which is no easy feat...but considering the ridiculous amount of talent on that team, this can only be viewed as an epic collapse.

Pittsburgh really did look a lot like the Canucks of the east in some ways. Thought talent alone would get the job done, when that doesn't go their way they become useless.

If it turns out he is still injured, then it's a legitimate pass. If not, then he absolutely should be accountable for only showing up in spurts.

No one hates him. It's the player he's become that people like myself are surprised about.

Not for me. He was apparently deemed healthy enough to come back to play in the playoffs

I am sure he will get some criticism but since Malkin played worse, the defense was a disaster, goaltending an issue for ever and tons of questions about Bylsma I think that the injury, his history and the total cluster f and blame to go around he will avoid the spotlight.

The Bruins are in the zone, and I mean in the ZONE. I don't think Chicago can stop them.

Maybe try reading before replying. People saying they're happy Iginla lost is pathetic. But it's from the same guys that make me embarrassed to be a fellow Flame fan with so not surprising.

If he's still hurt and cannot compete at his usual level, then the coach is accountable for not using him differently?

If Letang ends up winning the Norris, he should immediately hop on a plane, fly directly to wherever Chara is, and personally hand deliver the award to big Z himself.

He isn't half the D man Chara is, and I'm not just talking size wise.

It's not ironic. It's just a fact. The only ones that think its somehow spectacularly significant are the ones that are currently bagging on Iggy like he's some kind of hack instead of a future hall of famer. I'm so sick of this crap.

Agreed. I still love the guy. I wish him all the success in the world, and I hope he gets to win a cup before he retires. But let's be honest. Iginla is a shell of his former self these days. He just doesn't have that fire in his eyes like he used to and he looks disinterested half the time.
