Thinks the prospect pool is better than a lot of people in the room thought it was a year ago.

Loved Monahan at the draft last year, tried to move to get him. Would be lying if he thought Monahan would have had the year he did

I don't pretend to know a lot about GM candidates but it's hard to be upset with hiring a young mind that cut his teeth in one of the best managed organizations in hockey.
