I don't think any of us really wanted to see Dion leave. I remember a couple years ago, before Phaneuf had even played 1 nhl games, when the media asked Darryl who would not be traded on the trade deadline his only response was "Phaneuf".

Makes you think that there must be some issue with him in the dressing room or something. Darryl was REALLY high on this guy and the amount of money he threw at him shows this. I can't wait to find out all the details

According to a TSN.ca report, the Calgary Flames have traded defenceman Dion Phaneuf to the Toronto Maple Leafs.
There are also radio reports that Matt Stajan and Ian White are involved in a deal.

Apparently it's Stajan, Hagman, Mayers, and Ian White.
