Default This is why everyone hates the Oilers/McDavid/Media

I was going to post somewhere that I think Monahan should get some consideration for the "comeback player of the year" trophy... I couldn't remember the name of it, so I googled "comeback player of the year nhl"...

Takeaway #1, it's the Masterton (of course)

Takeaway #2, TSN believes that Connor McDavid is this season's "REAL" comeback player of the year.

Jesus Christ. Literally any friggin opportunity they can find to Oilerbate and then stick it on the internet for everyone to see.

7-Eleven That's Hockey: Is Connor McDavid the real comeback player of the year?

We're just six weeks away from puck drop on the Stanley Cup Playoffs and as 7-Eleven That's Hockey's Gino Reda analyzes the regular season stats, he explains why Connor McDavid could be considered the real comeback player of the year after his brutal start, to his standards of course.

Oilers and Leafs. The only teams that matter to Sportsnet and TSN.

If you want to talk about brutal starts and then a complete resurgence, look no further that Tkachuk, who likely will still get to 100 points after a horrible start before Jan 1.

It's annoying but that's how they generate their business. It's only business.

Edmonton continued to fill the building while they were trash. Calgary can barely fill the arena even during a decent year lately - I would bet most Calgarians have 0 knowledge of this trade deadline or even care.

That's an insult to players who have legitimately struggled, on and off the ice, to return to their former glory.

The player that had 150 points last year who refs don't allow other players to so much as rough up made a "comeback"?

As opposed to Monahan whose body was broken (which he attempted to paly through, and played until he no longer could) then was reconstructed, written off by many around the league and took a 1st to unload. Came back, suffered another season-shortening injury, and now this year, after a long road of recovery looks reminiscent of the Monahan of old and is helping the Jets' charge into the playoffs.

TSN/SN/Edmonton Journal losers can frankly eat a filthy gym sock.

Mc###-guzzling idiots.

So many great, inspirational stories out there (Oliver Kylington included) and this is their take.

Wonder how many combined brain cells it took them to come up with?

I didn't see it but I am going to bet it's some BS about how he took a down and out team on his back into a PO spot.

Not when I lived in Edmonton they didn’t (fill the building )- in the McDavid/new arena era I suppose yes

Well, he's overcome living in a monochromatic house with low ceilings. In Edmonton.
