Great player. Not a fan of the antics leading up to the trade at all. It is what it is, no "thank yous", but also no ill will. Moving along.

No, Noah Hanifin is not a “great” player.

He’s a good player.

He’s a player who came up small in every big moment the Flames encountered during his time here.

The end of his tenure was no exception.

Beat it.

Decent player that kinda screwed over the Flames while leaving. Doesn't deserve boos or standing ovation. Just move on.

After Zadorov, after Backlund got everybody on the same page, after Lindholm sulking, after your buddy Tanev is a good sport with his trade, you and your agent pull that Tampa ##### last minute.

Terrible way to end 6 years with a franchise.

Ryan Leslie, earlier today was saying how Hanafin had a great relationship with management (especially Conroy) and enjoyed his time with the Flames. Seemed to like Calgary and by all accounts was well liked by the media and players. Not a great look when you and your agent handcuff the team you held in high regard.

I don’t get the bellyaching about him screwing over the Flames

Logically, a team that could re-sign him should value him higher than one that would acquire him as a pure rental

If he was up front about these teams, then you could argue that he helped Conroy by narrowing down the places with the most likely best returns, no?

Up to Conroy whether he listens to only those offers or other ones.

I have zero issue with Hanifin. But as good as he has been this year, and as good value as he has been over his contract, I am not sure that he will be exceptional value for dollar on his next one, and he doesn’t want to be here

Thanks for doing your job for 6 years. Off you go

It's sort of like a broken record with the likes of Gaudreau and Tkachuk. At least he didn't get to go where he really prefered and the Flames got a 1st rounder (plus whatever) within this next 2 years.

Hanifin can piss off. I liked the player, was indifferent on the person and now after how he and his agent screwed us over, he can f right off.

Hopefully Vegas gets swept in the first round, Hanifin plays horribly and then no one wants to sign him for more than 5M. (what a world we live in, when "only" getting $5M a year for 7 years is considered punishment for being a dick!)

Hold your horses there. I want that 2nd-round pick. Vegas can get swept in the second round.

I’m pretty over American players. Hopefully Coronato sticks around.

Yeah, no thanks to Noah.

I liked the player a lot, but he ####ed this team over pretty good on the way out.

Win a round
Get the 2nd pick
Don't re-sign in LV
Revert to your usual self
You could have done us a solid like Tanev and played nice by offering to play anywhere for 20 games before your off season payday

Just like Noah and his agent had the right to have some say in where he ended up. The fans have every right to be absolutely disgusted with how it turned out.

Good hockey player but never moved the needle in the few games that mattered most for this team. Hard to see it now but we will be better off without him. Do us at least a favour and don’t let Edm get anywhere near the cup.

I enjoyed Hanifin as a player but, if it is true, him not wanting to play in any of the Canadian cities left an aftertaste for me. I get "wanting to be closer to family". I feel "anywhere but Canada" is stinky. If it's accurate.
