Do you also miss the days when you could beat an NHL goalie with slapshots from the point?

Nope, just Stone's slapshots. Some of them beat goalies sometimes!

Fair enough.

The slapshot I still miss is MacInnis's. He would change it up by intentionally shooting wide, creating chances for a tip-in, a deflection, or a hot bounce off the end boards. And when he did shoot dead on the net, he left the goalie with a pair of brown pants to worry about.

We shouldn't really have to get used to it. We got Pachal for free on a league minimum contract and he looks fine out there.

There must be someone like that who's better than Oesterle.

If we trade Rasmus we wouldn't have to worry about him being on the PP....

That last PP was the backbreaker. Had to score and instead..give up a goal.

As bad as Oesterle may be, the goals against were more on Rasmus and Kylington.

Kadri on pace for 72 points now. It would be his second best season ever.

Ya, Rasmus has directly caused a lot of goals this year and has escaped criticism for the most part.

if Andersson plays the PP like that, you might as well put 5 forwards out there. Who has the biggest shot? Put them at the top.

I am keening on watching how the Flames play after Friday.
The media circus / uncertainty around the team is awful.

Anderson is all about sideways passing - nothing ever goes to the net - told he has a really hard shot but how would we know?

I fear a lot of games like that are headed our way. The GAS meter will naturally be turned down, even if just by a little and will have disproportionate effects. I hope people are patient with them as they get the retool/build they've been clamoring for. (Including myself)
