It was abundantly clear by now with all the looks a lot of players have received so far this season, that Pettersen wasn't going to get a look. I thought he was progressing well, and I thought he showed well during the preseason. He looked like he earned a shot, but the organization probably feels like he won't translate. Wish him luck.


Damiani seems like a guy that people really love. Hope he does well.

Aw, I quite liked Pettersen, hopefully it is indeed to give him a better shot elsewhere, he's always been pretty happy to be in the org and given good efforts nightly

Pettersen is a decent AHL player, but found himself being passed over on the organization'sdepth chart by younger teammates. I wonder if the Flames were going to cut him loose this summer, and are doing this as a favour to him.

Could be a similar case for Damiani.
