I thought this was pretty cool. Washington signed their 3rd round pick this year, Nathan Walker. Born in Britain and also an Australian, he spent his formative hockey years in Czechoslovakia and played in the Australian Ice Hockey League a bit. Pretty neat career path to get into the NHL.

Why did they bother drafting him? He played for their AHL team all year. Why waste a third when they could have just signed him straight up?

Yes they do because they pay the bills. Again, that doesn't mean they like the Leafs.
The night Chicago ended it's cup drought in 2010', the TSN headline was "Leafs Biggest Losers".
Should TSN show the Sens and have ratings nose-drive?

If Chevy had any sense about him he'd pick up some of Pavelec salary and move him for Reimer. Would give the jets fans something to cheer about. But it is Chevy and he doesn't believe in player for player moves so jets fans will continue to twist in the wind.
