But seriously, I'm impressed at how many of those pylon jerseys they clearly sold ahead of last night.

That said, those jerseys have far too much blue to make their "orange crush" rip off work. The blue and orange clashed too badly to create anything close to the effect we see from the Flyers' real orange crush or the C of Red.

The garrulous Oiler fan members of CP seem to have forgotten their passwords this morning.
How absolutely predictable.

i posted this in the series thread -- they gave all season ticket holders free orange jerseys last year. You know, as a thank you before bending them over with huge price increases this year...

If I'm being honest, their "orange crush" looked really bad. It looked like the Chinese knock-off version of the C of Red.

I think it looked just fine. But of course it's no match for the C of Red. Obviously. Or is it Sea of Red? Either way.

Even the ones pretending to be Flames fans are eerily silent. Where are the posts by supposed Flames fans telling us how great McDavid is.

Kudos for sure. But he was most definitely referring to the 10 year absent poster and Alberta coiler72.

Oiler Original Idea Check List:

1. Have everyone wear the same brightly coloured jersey - Check.
2. Have budding young singer perform folksy rendition of visitors anthem - Check.
3. Have local Opera singer perform rousing version of 'Oh Canada', let crowd sing second verse - Check.

My post from the series thread:

"Great anthem, great first period, couldn't sustain it. Sharks experience showed tonight. Was never under any illusions this series was going to be anything but a huge test. Up to the Oilers to ramp things up tomorrow night. And stay out of the box."

Was it a great anthem? I changed to the Blues Wild game when I saw some hippy with an orange hat hanging off his guitar.

It's borderline embarrassing how happy that Oilers loss made me last night! I listened to Oiler fans all day at work yesterday predicting sweeps, McDavid hat tricks and all sorts of nonsense.
Back to earth, boys.

IIRC, the Oilers invented the Canadian national anthem in 2006.
