The Pick: Sharks in seven.
Why? The Sharks have stumbled down the stretch and centres Joe Thornton and Logan Couture were injured late in the season. If they aren’t at 100% (or thereabouts), that could swing the balance towards Edmonton, with league-leading scorer Connor McDavid hitting his first postseason on a roll – he had 25 points during a 14-game point streak to finish the regular season. The Oilers have the speed advantage. Will they have the power to match up with the likes of bearded Sharks Thornton and defenceman Brent Burns? Couture's status may swing the balance, as I consider this the biggest toss-up of the first round. [TSN]

I'm sure the fans who paid for actual seats will appreciate having their concourse jammed up and extra long concession/bathroom waits.

Can't really blame the Oilers, they have been out of the playoffs for 10 years and who knows when they will ever make them again. They need to get as much money out of these playoffs as possible.

That's an easy 160,000 not including beer parking merchandise or food.Could be an extra 500,000 in revenue towards the oilers.If they didn't suck for so many years they wouldn't have to be so cheap and greedy towards the fans.

I can't believe that wasn't an April 1st thing.
So you amp up the cost on tickets to the building for your season ticket fan base (all teams have playoff tickets more expensive) and then you make it impossible for them to drink beer, get in, get out, or urinate.
What a stupid idea.
