Those are really nice pics. I love stopping at the Athabasca falls each time I go through Jasper.

I have some too- but they're still on my laptop and I'm too lazy to dump them.

In the photos of Japan vein, since I bought a camera a couple of months ago I've gotten a little more regular about taking photos and posting them on the web (putting most of the good ones on Flickr):

I love stopping at the Athabasca falls each time I go through Jasper.

Athabasca Falls . . . . don't know who the lady was. . . .

For amusement, yesterday morning, two views of a Bighorn, both taken from the same distance, with the early morning sun, west of Turner Valley.

I've had a Nikon D80 for about two months now and I'd agree it seems to flatten out colours, more than I've been used to in the past, depending on what you're doing:

Buddy the farm dog through an old barn door, near Big Valley

Hanging on:

These aren't that great, and Im in the process of moving some over to this computer, so i'll probably add some more through the night...

This was downtown tonight with a nice moon... forgive me if the picture seems a little off.. im just learning my new camera (Nikon D80) and I have a lot to learn. The other pictures are from ... some place.. the name has gone... its just past Mclean Creek out in Kananaskis... Elbow Falls? Something like that... Taken today (Dec. 8)

This thread should be renamed 1001 Computer Backgrounds...because just about every one I see Im planning on using at some point.

...though it will be hard to remove my current one, of Reggie Bush's diving TD against Pittsburgh.

Two more:

First one is just cars at the bottom of Sarcee Trail, just S of 16th...
Doesn't look all that good.. mostly because I screwed up on the composition with too much snow below etc... but i've always wanted to do it...

This one is just another Skyline shot from tonight, the fence posts is the netting for the shaganappi golfcourse driving range... which my girlfriend insisted were there, but I honeslty couldn't see them until after the shots..

^^^That last one would be a sick shot without the damn net in the way.

Those driving range nets are effing ugly, I hate them.

Yeah, we tried to get around them, but they have it all fenced off down the hill and I wasn't really keen.. well, the GF wasn't really keen on going fence hopping

A picture I took from Stirling Castle in Scotland of the William Wallace monument.

The view from the top of the Wallace monument. The River Forth meanders through Stirling.

Thanks, it's one of my favourite too. Not suprisingly, it was pouring rain when I was in Vancouver so I got stuck taking pictures of the skytrain terminals and bus stops.

Couple More....

These were taken yesterday, I went out to get some shots of the mountains, but there was a lot of cloud cover... but i tried to get some good lighting on the clouds... Most of my pictures didn't turn out too well because i'm still practicing with settings on my new cam, but here are some anyway... These were taken out in sprinbank at about 3:30pm to 4:30pm. (For those not familiar with Calgary, its about 10 minutes west of calgary)
