Regular Season + Playoffs, McDonald's body of work is now up to a .9058 on the season.
Doing the same for last season, his body of work was a .9051

Barrie came back from down 2-0 to tie Game Two late in the third period. Mangiapane got an assist on the OT Game Winner.
Barrie now leads the series 2-0. Game 3 goes tomorrow in North Bay.

Big 6-0 win in Game 4 for Barrie to sweep North Bay.
2G-2A for Mangiapane (first star). 2A for Andersson.
The Colts will have home ice advantage in their third round series vs Niagara.

McDonald's season comes to an end, his Islanders side fall in game 6 to Shawinigan, losing 6-1 and thus the series 4-2.
Shame that their team got rattled so many times in this series, knocked his sv% way down to under .900.
Can he/will he go back to the QMJHL for an overage season with the Islanders, or has he reached the end of his development at a junior level and needs time in the AHL/ECHL next season?

Might as well put him in the ECHL if the team thinks he's ready. No point of him playing 25% of the games behind Gillies in the AHL.

The clock is ticking on his ELC starting next season, so they might as well have him playing in the pros. ECHL is most likely just so he and Gillies can both get a heavy workload. If Gillies gets time in the NHL, they can bring McDonald to Stockton.

Well, this is McDonalds final stat line for this year:
Regular season: 39 played 3.33 GAA .902 sv%
Playoffs: 12 played 3.67 GAA .900 sv%
Not too bad.
Just the Barrie boys still active now right?

I think with the NHL playoffs, the CHL rights on SN are over for the season. I highly doubt we will see another game. It'll probably be regional broadcasts only.

Really? Damn, why does the NHL make so many bad marketing decisions? Its just short term gain dollars for the owners, at the expense of the game and its fans.

The NHL? What does the NHL have to do with junior hockey in the CHL and the TV companies? Do they have first dibs on what gets shown on the networks or something?
That aside though, these contracts were probably signed before the start of the season and I don't think they expected all 7 Canadian teams to get shut out of the play offs. I mean, take last year for example. There was us, the Canucks, the Habs, the Sens and the Jets all in post season action. Us and the Habs got past round 1. How much market would there have been for people wanting to watch junior hockey with so much Canadian interest in the NHL play offs? Very little I'd imagine.
