Default Things you have learnt in life that serve you well

Stuff you have learnt over the course of your life, that you use or help you.

I have a couple:

Nothing lasts for ever.

Don't worry about things that are out of your control.

Identify your strengths and weaknesses as a person, and try to work on them both in order to enhance your abilities.

Personal example, one of my strengths is problem solving, one of my weaknesses is that I am naturally a very disorganized and messy person. I solved the problem of being disorganized by actively figuring out a system in order to keep everything properly where it should be instead of where ever. I'm no longer messy and disorganized even though that still is my natural instinct, and I have saved a huge amount of time since I've organized things and everything is a ton more efficient.

A priest offered a lift to a Nun. She got in and crossed her legs, forcing her gown to reveal a leg. The priest nearly had an accident. After controlling the car, he stealthily slid his hand up her leg. The nun said,”Father, remember Psalm 129?” The priest removed his hand. But,changing gears, he let his hand slide up her leg again. The nun once again said, “Father, remember Psalm 129?” The priest apologized “Sorry sister but the flesh is weak.” Arriving at the convent, the nun went on her way. On his arrival at the church, the priest rushed to look up Psalm 129. It said, “Go forth and seek, further up, you will find glory.”

Moral of the story: If you are not well informed in your job, you might miss a great opportunity.

Another great one during my first jump in my airborne class by a very red face MasterCorporal

- How well things work under fire is a true test of their value

- You only get better at things you consciously work on

- Most of life's true lessons are not friendly

- Who you are is not who you have to be. You are free to change your thinking

- Do what you can, where you are, with what you have

- Anger can be usefull at times, but beware of bitterness

Do not try to wheel any girl named Madison unless you're really good at hockey.

From my late father:

If it's you against 3 others, go for the tallest guy and drop him quickly. The other 2 will run off.
