Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross was.. boasting(?) about how there were no protesters against Trump in Saudi Arabia. That could be because protesting will get you publicly flogged and disappeared into a Saudi jail maybe? So stupid...

On the Flynn thing, there's a criminal investigation underway, so he'd be incredibly stupid not to take the 5th. Even if he was easily proven innocent here, he'd be taking the 5th. It's interesting from a hypocrisy angle, but otherwise no.
Another weird, awkward moment playing out live on CNN right now, with Donald and Melania signing a guestbook with the Netanyahus. Donald also receives an old Bible from them. "That is really beautiful".
I have to wonder why a guy who has been a dealmaker, palmgreaser, backslapper, and man-about-town his entire life is so bad at these interactions. He makes Richard Nixon look like Frank Sinatra.
A big sink hole opened up in front of Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort. People are trying to determine the exact time it appeared to correlate with the timestamp on this photo:

Is this the first time since elected he visited anything holy? during the campaign he went to church every sunday in order to get evangelical votes and since then... golf
He claims the Bible as his most favorite book yet can't recite a single verse from memory, even called the second corinthians "2 corinthians" he's married three times and was fully lenient with his daughter Ivanka converting to Judaism
I would be shocked if the liar believes in any religion other than Trumpism
This is what happens when you climb into bed with interests like the Heritage Foundation and the CATO Institute. They will deliver the documents and budget they want, and then you, as conservatives, must live with the fallout. Republicans need to start focusing on governance and less on lining the pockets of their benefactors. I appreciate that this is where true "trickle down economics" takes place (Congress puts a ton of money into the pockets of their benefactors and then they wait for the dollars to trickle back down to them), but they have to appreciate the people are going to catch on at some point, and they will experience a revolt.
He's trying so desperately to pull off this reserved/measured/serious Trump while on this trip, when in fact nobody outside of his delusional followers are buying any of it. He's such a hypocritical phony. As soon as he sets foot back on U.S. soil, it'll be back to the usual anti-Muslim rhetoric.
(CNN)After an appearance alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Monday, President Donald Trump paused to push back against reports that he had disclosed highly classified information to the Russians.
"Just so you understand, I never mentioned the word or the name 'Israel','" Trump told reporters in Jerusalem. "Never mentioned it during that conversation. They were all saying I did. So you had another story wrong. Never mentioned the word 'Israel'."
The story Trump was reacting to was this one, which ran a week ago in the Washington Post. And the thing about that story is that, well, the word "Israel" is never mentioned. Not one time.
President Trump asked two of the nation’s top intelligence officials in March to help him push back against an FBI investigation into possible coordination between his campaign and the Russian government, according to current and former officials.
Trump made separate appeals to the director of national intelligence, Daniel Coats, and to Adm. Michael S. Rogers, the director of the National Security Agency, urging them to publicly deny the existence of any evidence of collusion during the 2016 election.
Coats and Rogers refused to comply with the requests, which they both deemed to be inappropriate, according to two current and two former officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss private communications with the president.
Trump sought the assistance of Coats and Rogers after FBI Director James B. Comey told the House Intelligence Committee on March 20 that the FBI was investigating “the nature of any links between individuals associated with the Trump campaign and the Russian government and whether there was any coordination between the campaign and Russia’s efforts.”
Trump’s conversation with Rogers was documented contemporaneously in an internal memo written by a senior NSA official, according to the officials. It is unclear if a similar memo was prepared by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence to document Trump’s conversation with Coats. Officials said such memos could be made available to both the special counsel now overseeing the Russia investigation and congressional investigators, who might explore whether Trump sought to impede the FBI’s work.

This is waaay more obstruction-y than a "character reference" to James Comey. If true, I'm not sure how one spins this.
The Comey one could easily be: Trump was simply trying to explain to Comey that Flynn was a good guy and wouldn't do anything wrong, so he shouldn't be wasting his time.
This is much, much different. How do you spin actually asking someone to help end an active investigation into you or your allies? That's actual obstruction. I'm not sure there's a spin here. Maybe you could say he was simply asking them to state what they had told him, that they had no knowledge of any evidence of collusion (but couldn't say there was none, or that there was no investigation)?
And in this will be filed in the annals of "Those who ignore history are deemed to repeat it" with it's similarity to Watergate. The actual thing that led to Nixon resigning is the response from Congress after they found out he tried to get the CIA to pressure the FBI into ending the investigation into him...

The spin would be that he was asking them to state their current knowledge of the situation to help diffuse the situation publicly. If the NSA and National Intelligence didn't have any intelligence tying Trump to Russia them stating so wouldn't be obstructing the FBI but would help him in the public eye.
I don't believe that is the case but that would be the best outcome for Trump.
