Is it ok to wear no belt with dress pants?
Does anyone else do this?
Harvey and Mike decline to wear belts on Suits.
The internet is 50/50 on this.

Its en vogue for trendy people who are also fit enough to not need them to reign their gut in...so belt it is for me.
But if you're rocking plain black Moores dress pants and the solid colored Tip-top shirt, with plaino black shoes, (aka entry level business) you might want a belt

It's not okay to wear any sort of pants without a belt unless we are talking about Edmonton's pants of choice. One thing I notice when I see a Seinfeld re-run is how ridiculous Jerry looked in his jeans with no belt and tucked in shirt. Would be a sad commentary on today's fashion if the Trivago guy is setting fashion trends.

I don't know about you, but my waist size changes throughout the day with every meal haha.
Mission-style adjustable belts have been a god send.

Hey, I once asked an ex-girlfriend this exact question and she said only a few men would look good with dress pants and no belt. I asked her to give me an example of a man who would look good with no belt and she said Keanu Reeves. This conversation was like 8 years ago though.

Pants with belt loops look weird without a belt IMO.
If you can find a pair of dress pants with no belt loops, no belt is fine.

Did then tell her, "yeah, well then why don't you go date Keanu Reaves then?!" and then make her sleep on the couch for two days until she begged you for forgiveness and reassured you that you're the only man in the universe she wants to be with?

Wear a belt unless your trousers have side adjusters (no belt loops) or if you are wearing braces/suspenders. Hanging your pants from your shoulders is ideal. Suspenders are best covered - wear a jacket. Hipster bartender look is very 2014 and was a bit dicey even back then.
Never combine a belt with suspenders - sign of a man with trust issues.

My general belt rule is:
-Tucked in shirt = mandatory belt
-Not tucked in shirt = optional belt
So with dress pants, I'd think the belt is mandatory as it would be very rare to wear dress pants without a tucked in shirt.

In theory you could probably get away with it if you were wearing a sweater, depending on the length.

I always feel like men look juvenile when not wearing a belt- the only exception is pants that do not need a belt (sport type) or suspenders. Even then, I find it weird-looking when suspenders are worn with pants that have a belt loop.

I'm gonna go with my personal rule on wearing sweatpants on this, not if you're leaving the house.
