Didn't even watch the game. Hate both teams so much, I would rather spend my time doing something more useful. Enjoying the other series a lot. Based on comments, I think the Oilers will sweep unless Talbot returns to human form. Katz has made a deal with the Devil. That's all I got. Go other three series!!

I can't think of anything within reasonable driving distance from Edmonton that'd be worthwhile for a pro hockey team from California to go to "hang out" in early May. What is there??

The Ducks did not play an in your face, agitating style last game. I think discipline was foremost in their minds but they went too far. They need to scrum it up, face wash and generally goon up the oilers (without taking penalties). The game was too easy, especially on the D. The Ducks need to make life miserable on Talbot. Get right on top of him and let the chips fall where they may especially in the crease. Rough up the oilers and basically play to their identity.

Talbot plays on the top of the crease.
Ducks need to push him back.

It was gross.

Look this whole year has been a massive pack of luck for the Oilers, they get a schedule with a quarter of the games coming on back to back for other teams. During the regular season the underlying numbers show that McDavid's line carried this team. Talbot gives ungodly levels of goaltending and plays more games then logic allows. They had few if any injuries.

Everything has gone right for the Oilers, its also like in the playoffs they siphoned off every bit of luck from the Flames for example.

This is the height of things for the Oilers. The ultimate Cinderella season for them. People talked about the Flames being unsustainable a couple of years ago and look at what happened. Their luck shifted last year and it was a disaster.

The Oilers are unsustainable.
Oilers' run is only unsustainable if McDavid, Draisaitl, and Talbot are routinely on the IR moving forward.

Being top-heavy limits your team's ability to beat injuries, but it still gives you an advantage over the competition in terms of talent when the said players are healthy and in the lineup. Pittsburgh won the cup in 2009 on the backs of Crosby, Malkin and Fleury despite having much worse possession numbers than Edmonton this year.

The schedule, puck luck, bounces examples are just childish. The Flames were a bottom-5 possession and shot differential team in 2015 regardless of who was on the ice and even before Giordano's injury. That's why they fell back down to the earth the next year. Then, you guys bounced back.

Vegas now has Edmonton the favorites to win the Stanley Cup at 3-1.

Some ####### was wearing an orange oilers jersey tonight at the sens game.

I mean, what in the actual ####? Is this going to be like rider fans wearing jerseys as formal wear?

You've gotta be f---in' kidding me. This season really is turning into the darkest timeline for Flames fans. The whole thing just turns my stomach.

With the potential opponents being the Blues and Preds, I could see the Oilers squeaking through to the finals, where they will get thumped by the Penguins.

The only way I feel that the Oilers win the cup is if the Senators (or Rangers/Caps) find a way to knock Pittsburgh off. I don't see that happening.

Still think if the Flames were playing the same team in round 1 but they weren't named the Anaheim Ducks, we'd be in the 2nd round fighting with the Oilers.

Preds beat the oil all 3 times this year.

I'm clinging to that pretty hard right now.

I'm actually thinking that Jake Allen could stop them, he's been pretty good for the Blues since January.

I'm the same way. Other then few shifts here and there, I can't bring myself to watch it. It's infuriating how the Oilers can waltz into Honda Center and win 2 games handily, while the Flames can't win there for the past 14 years. Of course it's us who have to have the most frustratingly stupid losing streak in all of hockey. I still have flashbacks of the deflection of Bouma's skate that wasn't even in the crease, was in the high slot and yet it goes top shelf .

I know some people are banking on Talbot falling back to earth. But how long did we hear that about Kipper? Great goaltenders are ridden like horses and can handle heavy workloads. Straight up, Talbot is inching his way towards being one of the best in the league.

I give credit to the Oilers. They are a legit good team this season, and while it sucks as their rival to see them have this success, credit is where credit is due. But even more frustrating is the Oilers are getting the Ducks off their game exactly like how the Flames should have. With speed and discipline. Coulda, woulda, shoulda been us...

I don't see it...a few timely posts and some lucky bounces are the reason this series is 2-0 Edmonton instead of 2-0 Ducks.

Oilers still don't look like world beaters to me, but either way, it seems that the hockey gods are doing everything possible to put them into the finals. The chips are falling into all the right places for them and it's disgusting
