Default What to do in Whitehorse?

Currently here for work. Client drove me up McIntyre Mountain yesterday to see Fish Lake and Whitehorse from above. Rented a car today and drove to Carcass to see the Desert (...sand dunes) and Emerald Lake. Have one more day tomorrow - what are your suggestions?!

Too bad to didn't keep going to Skagway after you visited Carcross but it's not worth the trip back now.

I used to spend a lot of time in Whitehorse and for me the main attraction was some of the characters that live there. There is definitely a different mentality with some of the old time locals and I love listening to them. If you only have one day, go out and stop in at some of the local hangout diners and bars. Hopefully you will gain some gems of northern living.

I've thought this to be interesting although I've never been there.

We just got back from spending a week in Whitehorse. The Yukon is an amazing place! We did a few day hikes out of the Carcross area (Caribou and Nares mountains).

If you're looking to kill sometime around Whitehorse make sure you get to Miles Canyon. There's a short hiking trail there too. The SS Klondike was kind of neat to check out. The Berginia interpretive centre was on my list but regrettably I didn't get there.

Bocelli's serves up good pizza if you're hungry. If you just want a cafe then check out Baked Cafe.

That's in Dawson City. When I did it it was with the originator, Captain Dick. He since sold the novelty to another fellow. I had a dainty ladies toe that was cut off in a lawnmower accident.
