I can't believe you don't like Rhett.
He does make the show a lot better.
Rhett shares real hockey experiences on the show, as he actually played in the NHL for a very long time, so his view is extremely respected.
He also brings a lot of humour to the show, which i think is fantastic.
The show suffers when he is not around, I am a religious listener, but I tune out a lot when he isn't around.
Good talk.

I listen pretty religiously and I don't remember hearing anything about this.
I don't care for Pinder much but I'll grudgingly admit he adds something to the dynamic on the show.

I think Pinder is indeed moving to Toronto. Good for him as it’s probably a promotion to a degree and a good career move. Andrew Walker is much improved after his stint in Toronto.

I thought Toronto tried to steal Pinder a year or so ago and that is when the Fan decided to give him his own show and Boomer started at 5:30 instead of 6?
Maybe they came calling for him again?

Yeah, the only place i have heard Pinder may be leaving is two posts on this website. Have I missed something that's been announced somewhere?

Pinder going to Toronto all speculation. They even joke about it on the morning show, which suggests to me that it isn't all that serious.

I think Pinder filled in for someone on Toronto radio once or twice and that's how the speculation started.

Pinder is great as a sidekick with Boomer carrying the show, but I can hardly listen to him hosting the 9:00 show. I feel like the entertainment value falls off a cliff after 9.

I think at 9am it's just a totally different dynamic when you're by yourself, as opposed to being in a comedic ensemble. I've listened to Pinder at times when filling in for Pat on Flames pre/post game shows and it takes me a few mins to realize it's even Pinder because he sounds so different and businesslike than the mornings. I think it speaks to the wide range he has as a media personality, he can do funny and serious very well.
I feel like I'm in the minority but I genuinely like all 3, and would be sad if anyone from that core leaves (DeForest too). I find I just can't relate to Rhett's personality the way I can the other two, but he brings value to the show as a former player, I love his playing days stories about what the Iggy-era locker room was like. Plus his random musings, and his presence results in getting random "celeb" phone-ins (Razor, D. Sutter, etc) on a dime they'd never get without him there.
I do disagree though on anyone who thinks Rhett should run the show in Boomer's place, haha that would go so terribly. He's WAY too lazy and sporadic and would mail it in so hard and be woefully unprepared, plus he trips over his own tongue a lot. Being a panel guy and being the host are two completely different roles and skillsets, which I don't think a lot of people consider or appreciate.

I love Rhett on the show but he is 100% not host material lol.
