Agreed. But I also think that the "one start a week" comment was another way of saying they would like to see Vladar get 25 starts. This will likely mean less starts on a long home stand like this, and more later in the season when there are a lot of road games, and things are busier.

I'm pulling for that team after the whole Eichel affair. I thought that they did really well in that trade and was happy to see the black cloud lift a bit on that franchise.

Need to get another W tonight. Flames have historically played up to good teams and down to bad teams. Let’s hope it isn’t an issue for the new core. Flames are a much better team than Buffalo and need to prove that tonight.

Yes. Right now the schedule is decently spaced. I like giving Markstrom Buffalo to hopefully get his mojo going. He closed out last game nicely but needs a good complete game under his belt.

That sure didn't seem like an issue last year under Sutter.

Lyubushkin skating for the Sabres this morning after being day-to-day after the Oilers game. You might remember him as leveling out both Draisaitl and Holloway.

Keep your heads up out there!

I have to admit the Sabres look improved this season. They looked pretty good against the Oilers until the 3rd period where they sat back way too much.

Sabres have built a pretty formidable defence. They're a tough team to play against now. Could be a game where you really have to wait it out to win 2-1.

Flames play well against the East. Lets hope that continues against Buffalo this season!

Flames can't look past the Sabres - there are not many easy out's in this league. GFG!

I'd say it has some potential but wouldn't call it formidable. Will be fun to watch them develop though with guys like Power and Dahlin.

Agreed. They shouldn’t be considered an easy win any more… their defence has lots of skill. They’re also pretty deep at forward. Tage Thompson had a breakout year last year and has picked up right where he left off.

I was at that game.

Also, fixed.
