Lost in all the hoopla about how this Flames team has been playing exciting hockey is that they are a basement team in the standings that will probably finish lower in the standings than last year's boring team. On Saturday it sure looked like the same old Flames team that won it's first two road games, got satisfied and mailed in Saturday's game. The Wild don't score a lot of goals but I think they will light the lamp four times tonight.
Wild win 4-2

2.Enter the Cammy Man: Barring an unexpected setback, LW Michael Cammalleri is expected to draw back into the lineup tonight after missing two games with a hip flexor. Still in search of his first goal of the season, Cammalleri has five assists in seven games.

The NHL app is showing him on the roster for tonight's game. Which could mean nothing. Unless the dude who updates it has Hartley as a source.

Why has Sarich become the press box warmer, or is he injured?

Don't think so. It's possible that Hartley wants to ice the best skating defenseman as evidenced by the two slowest defensemen on the team entrenched in the pressbox.

Comeau yes, Glencross no. He's streaky but one of our best wingers, he needs to be out there. Have no idea why Stajan was taken off the Czech line, it was our best line.
Recent Sportsnet games have been good for the Flames, it continues tonight. 3-1 Flames with goals from Cammy, Glencross, Wideman.

I don't get it - why disrupt the Czech Matt line - Street looked lost out there. If anything put Cammy as C on the 3rd line.

Agreed on Glencross - but a stint on the fourth line may wake him up.

Thank goodness Cammy is back. Now get Glencross off the top line where he tries to be too fancy, and stick him on the wing opposite Stempniak where he'll play more of an in your face north/south game. Mine as well have Street centre that line and put Stajan back with Czechs where he's been successful.

It's also sad that I'm looking forward to Kerr PBP, after listening to that over the top homer garbage from Hughson.

Glad Glencross is off that line - he is awful with those guys, thinking he is some offensive stud and gliding around. Overall, he was a whole lot more rugged when he first got to Calgary than he has been the last couple years.

This team better start putting some wins together if they want any hope of climbing out of the basement. Their pathetic effort on Saturday night was hard to stomach.

Flames win, 5-2. Big pushback from the disappointment in Vancouver. The team will show that the Hartley Flames are a different breed. The slow climb from the cellar begins tonight
